Spending a relaxing and cozy day at the beach is what we all think of on a pleasant day. Exploring the sea, dipping your feet in the sands, or just soaking up in the sun makes up for a fun day at the beach. A day at the beach always fun, unless you forget to pack something important. That’s why it is recommended that you make a list of essentials that you will need for a day at the beach.
Having a source of shade is an absolute must if you are visiting the beach, especially with kids. If you are using personal transportation to visit the beach, bringing a portable beach umbrella is crucial. Keep in mind that bringing the right gear to hold your umbrella in place during the unexpected gusts of wind is also just as important.
Make sure that you have one beach towel for each person. If you are going on a vacation, it would be a good idea to check to see if your hotel or resort supplies beach towels. If you plan to be staying somewhere that offers beach towels, then you don’t really need to pack your own and save yourself the hassle of laundering them later.
Beach snacks are a must for a day at the beach. If a whole picnic or lunch is too much to be carrying around, then it would be a good idea to throw some snacks into your bag to keep you going until dinner time. Things like fruits and granola bars are recommended.
Hat, Sunglasses, and Flip-Flops
Don’t forget to add a hat on your beach packing list. Trying to protect your face from the UV rays of the sun is always a good idea. You also want to protect your eyes so make sure to get your sunglasses. Last but not least, flip-flops will be your best friend at the beach. They are comfortable and generally waterproof and inexpensive.
Sunscreen should always be your priority for a day at the beach. While it is important to let your skin soak in Vitamin D and get fresh air, too much exposure to the sun can be very harmful to your skin. So, don’t leave your house without applying a layer of sunscreen and add this useful item to your beach packing list.
Reusable Water Bottles
On a hot day, it is important to stay hydrated. It is recommended that you pack reusable water bottles and fill them up at the beach. Not only are these inexpensive, but they also cut down on single-use plastics, hence saving the planet one bottle at a time.
No matter which continent you are on or which beach you plan to visit, there are going to be some beach day essentials that you will want to make sure to pack. The items listed above will make your trip to the beach enjoyable and pleasant.
